If the compressor is laid down flat, you really don't need that support bracket, but if you have it sitting up on end, then you should use the bracket to keep vibrations down.

This constant myth than 2wd and 4 wd trucks are different needs to stop they are barely different and that is the difference is below the engine.

AMK is a restoration company, the the bolt kits you get from them are concours correct.

They are usually more expensive, but you can be sure they are EXACT and correct, hence the difference in models.

Dragon, when you sell concours correct parts, those minor differences can really hurt your business when someone doesn't have the right parts.

I have been buying (off and on) from Max since ~91.

4wd and 2wd engine difference are very much. it has to do mainly with the oil pan and dipstick. as well you have to block off the old dipstick tube hole. then there is the factory crossover pipe fo rthe exhaust. nothing else i can think of is different on top of the enigne. only year to year changes would be the passenger exhaust manifold and the carb and emissions stuff. but getting correct parts that are correct for your engine and body is a plus in my book. also i think the compressor for the factory air was on its side. depending on which compressor that was used i think.

I could run a 4wd with 2 wd pan and dipstick and exhaust manifolds. But everyone here has the newbies wondering about the differences like what carb difference and other things is different. I just brought this up as a way to help stop the myth of severe differences.

Have you given a thought as to how you will operate the AC? The factory controls are sliders, while the 67 has cables. Factory AC was not available in 67.
