Last time a pulled a pilot bushing I cut it in 3 places with a hacksaw blade and hit it with a cold chisel. It came out in 3 pieces and I didn't have any grease to clean up.

Another cool one and "Fordman's" just flat out prying it out too. :)

The hacksaw blade method might be the one I'll try on the "hunk of crap" that's still stuck in a 351w I got.

you can run a tap in it and then put in a bolt to push it out I think a 3/4-10 will do the trick :2cents:

Yeah that's the size. :) (drill = 21/32")
I don't have one tho, 5/8-11 is my biggest.

Hmmm...
Wonder if a 3/4" tapered pipe tape could be made to
work in the 15/16" hole left in the 351w tho? LOL :)

Uhhh...
What was the question again? :/
Oh yeah, "1971", did you get the bushing out? :)
Was it even the bushing messing you up to start with? LOL :)

Tough, the nut is ground in such a way to allow it to pass through the 17mm hole sideways.
See it now? LOL :)

no troubles so far. the whole clutch and pressure plate including the bushing came from a junkyard truck. the bushing was dented on the sides around the center hole but the center was still good when i got it out.
