Well then.. if I put it on the outside port and keep the inside port capped will it be ok? (thats how it is now) or do i need to take this into account regarding carb/dizzy choice?

The inside port gets capped for now and the carb ported vacuum (above the throttle plates) goes to the outside port.

Alright! That's what I was looking for, thank you so much for your help.. I'm gonna try the NAPA for their holley rebuild and if that comes to naught then I'll slap on the Tomco I bought at O'reilly's.. Either way I'll report back..
