Ok,... when seeing posts or advertisements that mention "for the left side" or "for the right side".... confirm.... this is from the perspective of sitting in the driver's seat right? As in Left = drivers side, right = passenger side.

Correct. Left side is always drivers side and right side is curbside. At least in North america.
