New addition to the fleet......

Post by 1972hiboy »

Just thought I would shoot some eye candy to everyone. Been trying to not indulge my sickness but sometimes when a good thing comes along you just gotta grab it. This was one of those. Previous owner has had the truck since it was 3 or 4 years old. nice set of dual aux tanks ( total of three, the way it should be) nice complete dealer add on a/c system ( still has the a/c belt on) d44hd front end, super-cool cooling package. truck was sent to Paramount Truck ( alteration shop ) to have the front bumper made and installed and I believe when the cool 8k viking winch was installed. also a rear tow hitch receiver was made up for the truck since apparently the original owner had the truck outfitted for taking a trailer down to mexico. Solid ca truck, no through rust yet. I am planning on rubbing down the body first to see what it looks like under all the oxidation. more pics, info to come. enjoy.

So I have known about this particular truck for several years now. The previous owner had used this pickup to help build his log cabin by way of a "A" frame boom system mounted to the front winch bumper to make a crane and lift logs in place. He had originally posted everything together. I saw the add and really wanted to boom setup. I needed another truck like a hole in the head ya know? So i was able to buy the boom separately. now skip forward a few years I went back to his place to look at the truck and decided pretty quickly that I needed to do this. Will be posting a "progress" thread. but a few more pics.

If you mean modify as in deviate from stock like lift, big tires, no way. I am a restoration, oem kinda guy. I am planning on doing a fairly major teardown to massage the body over and go through the interior to get things like the heater and a/c working again.
