Trans cooler on 1999 Windstar

Post by HH Henderson »

I need to put a trans cooler on my wifes 99 Windstar and need to know about the type of connections from tran to radiator.
Mine looks like they are not the typical screw (threads) in type. Can someone enlighten me....thx

I cant recall what they look like but I did some GM ones.
They make a compression fitting that adapts to a barbed end for a rubber hose.
Cut the line and install the fittings, and if you ever have a leaky hose you can connect the two halves back together and by pass the cooler. :2cents:

Usually what you want to do is hook up to line leaving the radiator cooler, when in doubt you can feel the difference.when it's warming up.
