In cab fuel sender unit...

Post by Darrman »

I am so sick of this pos I bought from NPD, It has never read right, and today for the first time I fill the tank up. I was headed home afterward and could smell gas strong, checked behind the seat when I get home, sure nuff, gas all over the place. So thinking its leaking from the seal, I check the torque, wipe everything down and shake the hell out of the truck. More gas leaking, but not from the seal, but out the top aroung the electrical hookup! Talk about pissed off, this peice of **** is trying to kill me!
So, where can I buy a original style unit that is not some chinese crap? I had a hard time finding this one!
Thanks!

I bought one from Mac's Auto Parts and have had no problems with it. I haven't had any problems with NPD's stuff. Maybe a bad unit? Just a thought.

NPD is pretty good at standing behind their stuff. I'd call them and let them know what's happening... they may send you another and it may not have that problem. I'd ask to have it shipped from another warehouse if possible just in case one got a bad batch.
