Re: spark plug wires.
Angles are relative.
Depends upon where zero is.
90 plus 45 = 135 = 90 minus 45 = 45.
135 can either be 45 or a MUCH tighter angle that is almost bent double (135 + 45 = 180).

Re: spark plug wires.
that is what is confusing me. i see pics in catalogs of what seems to me to be 45* boots, but the application guide reads like 90*, 180* (straight?) and 135*. i am left to assume 135* is what i am calling 45*. that is why i am looking for folks that have pics and part no.s for their plug wires.

Re: spark plug wires.
Chris,
I'm sorry I don't have any pictures for you. But I've always like the 45 degree angle boots on my 302's with both headers and stock manifolds. I've also never really had any luck with the "exact fit" plug wire kits.
So I typically just get a good universal set of 8MM radio suppression graphite type wires.
Route where you want to / cut them to fit and install the new boots, (not really that hard to do once you've done it once).
Some WD-40 or di-electric grease makes getting the new boots on much easier, (I prefer the WD).
Just make sure to dry off the excess.

Re: spark plug wires.
I've always had really good luck with the Autolite 8mm wires, cost around $45 for a set and they last forever. 45` from straight are what you want so 135`, more or less

Re: spark plug wires.
I've been using these from Ford Racing. Never had any problem with them. I can custom fit them to my likeing and there numbered. Looks real nice when there all aligned and in order.

And for socket style caps I use these boots with the above wires.

The pics a little bright but you can see just above the clip on the valve cover the wire numbers are aligned and in order same as the "FordRacing" script.

Re: spark plug wires.
I have the FMS ones in my Mustang, in red. They pick up grease and dirt easier than I'd like but otherwise god wires. The Autolites in dark grey look more original and perform well.

Re: spark plug wires.
Yeah, but all you need to do is get that style rotor and cap. It's a better design actually.

Re: spark plug wires.
yeah, i found those real easy, i just wanted to go with the 45* (or 135* in the cat. listings) to keep the wires closer to the heads.FordTruck wrote:I'm using Accel 8mm Super Stock wires with a straight boot on the 302 in my 70.
