Air Gap Intake

Post by lsevenpj »

Is there anyone out there who has used a Edelbrock Air Gap Intake on a MILDLY modified STREET 460? If so how did it workout? I'm building a 40 over 460 with C8VE heads,10:5 comp.,516/531lift,270/280 ERSON Cam,750 Holley,3.25 gears. I was thinking the cooler fuel charge might help with any detonation/fuel octane issues from the high compression. My truck will be driven on the street but not on a daily basis. Hoping the small cam will save some low end I might loose with the AIR GAP Intake. Tell me what you tech guys think.

That should work fine, its the same as a Performer RPM intake just has the air gap under it. Also not if you do run into some det richen the fuel a bit. I had to do this on my old 351C that had 11:1
1972 F-250 4X4 390
1999 F-350 7.3 PS 4X4
1996 Ford ranger 3.0
