Drop in Bedliner?

Post by Drizzle »

As a bandaid solution until I am able to begin addressing the relatively small amount of rust in my bed in the proper fashion, I am looking at dropping in a plastic bedliner in my '69 LWB pickup to avoid punching any holes through any weak spots...

But I'm having a much more challenging time finding such a thing than I'd have imagined. Anyone know of a fair source for one for our trucks?

TIA!

Don't those drop in plastic liners cause even worse rust by trapping water between the bed and the liner?

"Gray035" Don't those drop in plastic liners cause even worse rust by trapping water between the bed and the liner?
Saw this firsthand on a Ford truck my step-dad owned years ago as they trap the condensation under the liner.
Saw a bump on a local for sale post here yesterday that had a liner in it.
It was the first I ever remember seeing with one-and am guessing the bed was prob rotted out too.

That's why I wouldn't normally run one either, but when your been is already rusted out I guess it doesn't matter as much. I've been been half hartedly looking for one to go in my truck for that very reason. Considering that it's already full of holes and beyond my ability to save, a liner will make it more usable until I do find a new bed.
