I know this is way late...just haven't been on the site for while.

I had the same problem. I ended up using 2 pins. I used a cut off short one that I recessed into the hole until it bottomed in the cam hole, then dry fit the second one and cut it to fit. I did make sure that a large part of the second pin also rested in the cam hole so it wouldn't come loose. I believe I lok tited it. Even have pics if anyone wants to see.

Works fine.
