Re: identifying a holley 4bbl
think that i identified the carb on ebay as a 600 cfm from a big car or a camper special truck so my next question is this a good carb for my 72 f250 360/390 4spd truck and will it run good

Old and tired carb too I bet. After 80,000 miles the throttle shafts are wore out and cannot be fixed outside of a factory.

You can not feel the throttle shafts being loose when they are loose enough to cause leaks. I used to run a Holley Factory rebuild shop as a sideline to my race shop years ago.

I bought a "factory reconditioned " 600 once ,you could feel and see the shafts looseness.
It must of slipped through QC.
I returned it and paid the difference for a new one.I could see why they had them on sale
By the way I mean no offence to you.
