All FE blocks are essentialy the same, so it should fit with no changes at all.

most all of the fe blocks are marked 352 on the front of them. they were that way for awhile. then they were stamped with 501 or backwards 105 in the mid 70's sometime. but the fe/352 blocks can be several bores. the bore size will say exactly what the block is now. then when you add the crank it can be made into what ever size engine you want as long as the bore size will let you go that far. but yes it will fit in your truck.

as far as is the 352 a good engine. well yes and no. the 352 is a good engine but the 390 is a better engine. the 352 block can be bored out to make it into a 352 with the use of a 390 crank rods and pistons.

the only real difference was the earlier blocks only had two motor mount holes were the later blocks had 4.
