random engine noises
WELL finally got a new distrbuteor, but i notice when i got down the way it started sounding ike something in the engine was bustedm, ok then i turned it off went into the store for 5 minutes, came back and the noise was far less than what it was>>>??then it pretty much went away. is my bad carb putting alot of stress on the engine???

Maybe if its a vacume (I can't spell for crap anymore) advance dizzy then the carbs vacume hookup to the dizzy isn't working properly. So it was advancing too much or too little and so it wasn't running with the correct timing. Then it stopped acting up or came unclogged.
