The offy is it a dual port or is it a single port? Need to know. Headers no problem though the carb will take longer to warm up as the original design has the intake bolted to the exhaust under the carb just for that purpose. The stock fuel pump will be okay.

You need a small 4V to make the manifold work right. They require the secondaries to run in the larger ports. That is the one and only reason that manifold is still made.

Don't pay attention to Holley's prices.

Did you buy those headers new? I used Hedman's on a 240 without that problem. My Electric choke is tied to the ignition switch before the resistor wire.

The Hedman's I used were away from the engine there is no need for them to be close to the engine in a truck. Now in a Galaxy or LTD used as a taxi that is a different story. Complain to Hedman and see what they say.

Scrap yard. Ford only kept the parts on the shelf for 7 years after the last one was made. I am not talking the local shelf either. Though you might find one dealer that can find the old hidden stock. That is mainly were NOS parts come from.
