re: 6cyl to a 302
I just purchased a 1968 F100. Everything stock with no rust for 1900.00 cant believe it. the only thing i would like to change is the engine. it has the inline 6 and i am going to put in a 302. i know that the 302/351 will bolt right up to my bell housing (C6) and know that i also have to change motor mounts too. but will i have to change the motor perches? will i have to adjust the trasmission heighth (up or down) at all if make this swap? if i need perches can anyone point me in the right direction where i can get new perches? having a hard time find them around here even used, or if anyone on this sight has some for sale. thanks - charlie; puyallup, washington state

You need the perches, I think they started using the 302 midway through 1969...

in the process but mine didn't have the engine or trans in it when I started so all I'm having to do so far is change the perches

hey lance if you do switch to the six keep me in mind I have the perches you will need. It would give me a good excuse to pull my 390 and put the right ones in

The six and the 390 use the same perches.roni94 wrote:hey lance if you do switch to the six keep me in mind I have the perches you will need. It would give me a good excuse to pull my 390 and put the right ones in
