For stock manifolds rockauto shows 120 for the LS and 180 for the RS.

Scott, you might try the chain parts stores. I've seen repop manifolds for FE engines on some of their web sites.

having a flat surface on the manifold is the secret to them not breakign. so even if you did get a used one. it has to be plained off to be flat. a thick gasket can help with the unflatness of a manifold. but those gaskets blow out over time.

You could also look at headers. Kinda in the same price range(new manifolds), and wont crack

Re: Replacement Exhaust Manifolds - sources?
On a stock 360 you won't notice any performance /mileage change with headers. Been there, wasted money on that. People just think it goes faster because it is louder and they like the way it sounds so they get on the throttle more to hear it and in turn, the truck goes faster because they're on the throttle harder. Besides, you'd have to change the whole system too. A replacement manifold is your best most cost effective decision. Just make sure you have it machined and use the metal heat shield type gaskets or no gaskets. Those flimsy ones burn out then warp the manifold causing it to leak.

Re: Replacement Exhaust Manifolds - sources?
Thats true but if he changes up to a 390 or does any mods he doesnt have to seek headers for power improvement. Stock manifolds dont really work for power, anything after stock 352/360. I just mentioned it cause for the same price as new replacement iron manifolds he could be in a set of headers.

Re: Replacement Exhaust Manifolds - sources?
In the original post he says he has headers already but does not want to use them.

Re: Replacement Exhaust Manifolds - sources?
I know in the header instructions it says to raise the truck 24". But if you already have one of the manifolds off try one of the headers without lifting the truck or messing with the motor mounts. The passengers side will be easier than the drivers. Im going to be doing headers in my 72 with a 360 so basically the same as yours, and from looking at it i think they will slide in.

They will not slide right in. You will have to raise the motor off of the mounts to install them You will also have to remove the starter and reinstall it with the headers. Not worth the trouble with the stock engine.jdenison75 wrote:I know in the header instructions it says to raise the truck 24". Yep, they look like they will slide right in...not going to happen...sideoilerfe wrote:They will not slide right in. Easiest way is to raise the engine an inch or two off of the tower and them remove the perch itself one side at a time. Using a stock starter you do have to put them in together. I'd consider some sort of heat shield on the starter required. (mini starter is even better)
If any modifications to the 360 are contemplated do the headers because the manifolds, while adequate for a stock engine, are very restrictive...
