390 Specs

Post by 68muscletruck »

Does anyone know specs for Cam duration, degree and lift for the valves on a 390? I've been going through some basic spec books at the shop i work at and can only find stroke, bore, compression ratio etc, stuff i already knew. All the performance motor building tips and trick books my boss has with specs like those are for Chev :P also any knowledge of specific FE Motor Performance books I can buy?

How To Rebuild BIG-BLOCK FORD ENGINES

For stock cam specs you may need a factory repair manual covering the specific 390. A company named Detroit Iron sells them.

Here's a link for some FE camshaft specs. BTW, I have the book by Steve Christ, it has tons of valuable info on FE series engines.
