2 inch tubes would make your engine sick. Really Besides the tubes would barely fit in any engine compartment.

Diggers (AA/FD) and Funnies use 2 inch pipes but their exhaust is blown out not scavenged out by the other cylinders.

All normally aspirated engines with headers depend on scavenging (exhaust gas acceleration) caused by the vacuum of the other cylinders sucking on the ends of the tubes as they vent their hot gases. If the primary tube size is too big the tubes lose velocity and scavenging fails.

I'm useing edelbrock performer RPM heads and they said for best performance use 2 inch tubes. Now maybe thats not possible but I'll look a little longer. This is bored to a 418.It also has edelbrock intake,4 barrel,Harland Sharp roller rockers and Performer RPM camshaft.

I believe on Edelbrock's Dyno chart, there's a caption that says their built 390 was dynoed with 2" hedders.

The only 2" I find are Mustang/Cougar applications

Otherwise Mustang/Fairlane 1-7/8" or 2-1/8" Hooker SuperComp.

I have had Hooker 1-7/8s several times and even in trucks they can be a tight fit.

On a FE? Did you use car headers?

I never saw them in the catalog in the later years but in 1986 I bought Hookers for a 4 cylinder hemi and got 1-7/8s for it and the catalog then( paper) did not list them.

Funny too that you go to Hooker now and where are you really On the Holley site. With very limited search functions. If you search for the headers they give you a phone number to call. So I did I will see if they do larger tubes anymore. I used my 67 Mustang 390 1-7/8s in my race truck to save money but I had to dent the floor board on the passenger side. It did not matter there was no seat on that side.
