360 rebuild

Post by HH Henderson »

I ve talked myself into it....I am going to tackle overhauling my 68 360. I am mechanically minded and believe I can do it, but I would appreciate a good book describing the rebuild. I am sure there are many, so give me your suggestions please.

This Steve Christ version is known to have mistakes but that's mostly with parts ID.

I used Christ's book, also. It's fine I think as long as you don't get into swapping parts, etc. Then you encounter some errors, I believe. You won't have any trouble doing a simple rebuild with it, though.

If this is your first rebuild take some pictures to document all the effort you put in to it.

It is a very fun process, and there is a great deal of satisfaction when your new engine fires for the first time.

Good luck!
