problem fixed

Post by 67_p_car »

hesitation and carb leak.

1st - carb leak - the connecting nut between the fuel filter and carb only had 2 threads. I tightened it up and the leak went away. (I now need a new connector)

2nd - the vacuum was completely faulty - replaced - runs great!!!

now... I've timed the ignition to spec, but the idle now seems a bit too high. and the revs go up slightly with the clutch in - ideas?

You need to adjust the timing and idle simultaneously.
