Gas tank

Post by OldRedFord »

The bottom bolts that hold the in cab tank in. Where are the back of the bolts? Is the cab floor right under the tank boxed in or something? I need to get to the nuts that hold them on.

The bottom seam of the fuel tank sets in a groove on two plates that are bolted down with the rear cab mounting bolts. If you have the upper row of bolts out you should be able to lift the tank straight up to remove it.

the 70-72 has nuts tack welded to the floor behind the seat. the 67-69 has the plates that the tank sits in.
