Carbureted to FI ???

Post by ArizonaDan »

Quick question, ok four questions:

What would be involved with changing a carbureted 300 over to a fuel injection system? Throttle body for carb swap? Head swap? More?

Not for myself but for a friend whose carbureted 300 is getting weaker by the mile. 70's era 3/4 ton van with a C-6.

Thank you

Go to a yard get the puter, wiring harness, TFI dizzy and harness, complete intake and exhaust manifold. A high pressure fuel pump also after market or take the under side fuel tank and add it to your truck so you can get the tank with return lines and the frame or tank mounted factory pump.

Or rebuild the 300 put an Offy Dual port manifold and a holley 450 carb and still et 18 mpg and more power.
