Re: Radiator size
i dk the bump fe radiator is 19 x26 . that is the core size. a 24x 26 will be abotu 5 inches wider than your current radiator. i think thats right. if you are wanting to put a 460 in your truck you might want to go with a 4 core radiator. instead of a wider radiator. if you are just putting in a 351 or 302. you can still use a fe radiator. if you have a smallblock (302/351) in your truck and are wanting to put in a fe or 460 you will want a larger radiator. 4 core for a 460 and 3 core for a 352/260/390. a few names to look at modine proliance http://www.northernfactory.com/storefro ... g_id=60653 this is the one you want really. it is a thick core and the same bolt in size you would need. without a mod.
with the wider radiator. the straps will no longer bolt onto your bump core support. a slightly larger hole may have to be made and the botl hole will be further apart than your fe radiator bolt holes are. it would be similar to the 4wd and f350 radiator straps . it wouldn't probably bolt directly to the core support. it would probably be more of a super cool tpye of radiator. being that wide. i know it says its also for a 351 and a 460. and i have seen the stock radiators in the dentsides. they look the same as the fe radiators as far as width. but i still think the 24 wide is the 4wd / f350 type.
