cam lube?

i got my engine machined awhile back and the fella did not not put any lube on the cam. should i just remove it and do it while its out or can i do it while it is in the block? the only things on the eng is the cam, crank and heads.

clean it, lube cam lobes, lube lifter bottoms and finish assembly :2cents:
