Still looking for 1980's 460 Motor Motor Mounts
So, the eBay bidding just ended on the 460 mounts I was hoping to get for my 1980 F-350. Needless to say, I missed out on them. Is there anyone out there in the FORDification community that might have a complete set? Maybe you might know somebody/someplace that has them? I will however say that the guy that ended up with them paid triple the 24.99 starting bid
At least I gave him a run for his money.

the 460 mounts for our trucks are different than the 80 and up moutns i think. heres a shot of how the dentside truck moutns look. but they arent all in this picture the engine cups are not shown. the ones below usually go around 100.00 plus shipping was a complete set. but the economy could have something to do with prices today.

The engine side looks the same, but the frame side is entirely different, and the frame stands are the main thing I need.fordman wrote:the 460 mounts for our trucks are different than the 80 and up moutns i think. heres a shot of how the dentside truck moutns look. but they arent all in this picture the engine cups are not shown. the ones below usually go around 100.00 plus shipping was a complete set. but the economy could have something to do with prices today.

these were taken from a 79 . the last year these were used in ford trucks. in the 80's all motor perches were changed when the engine crossmember changed. you need ones like in those pictures. i no longer have these. so this is not a sales pitch. just an honest opion.

I think he is looking for the stands for a 80's truck to put the 460 in a 80's truck.

Re: Still looking for 1980's 460 Motor Motor Mounts
OldRedFord is right. the engine came out of a late 70's car, and I'm putting it in a 1980 F-350. '79 was the last year the 460 was used in trucks, and it was brought back in '82 or '83, as far as I can tell by what I've been told, and what I've read. But yes, OldRedFord is right about the situation.

Sounds like the technical issue is resolved (it there was one) and a new posting should be made for "parts wanted" in the forum with a similar name.
