Whichever one matches your front bolt pattern. ;) Even though it's a truck, you don't want to have to carry around a separate spare each for the front and the back.

The 3.25 gears in the Ford will also really help out with gas mileage by keeping your engine RPMs down out on the highway. That's a good compromise between true "highway gears" and the stump-pulling gears of the Dana 60.

What is the intended use of the truck? Dragstrip performance? Daily driver where maximum fuel economy is needed?

If you've got an F100 2wd, stick with the 9" (10 bolt is a ch**y term/axle :off: )

I swapped from 3.25's to 3.50's in the rear axle, and mileage went from 12 to 10, just like that. Pretty close to swapping back, as I've noticed that even being relatively easy on the pedal it tries to get slippery in the back end when I take off around corners, from a stop. Could be due to the low gear in the tranny (4 speed) so an auto might be different, though.
