Boy you aint kidding Clint. But we took off a edelbrock 750 and a stock manifold and the truck was running ok :hmm: :hmm: when we made the change. The truck itself was a everyday driver for me . Changed the fuel filter and fuel line along with all the heater hoses. Think they were oem because of the clamps. But I am just guessing. Scott my brother in law is familiar with that carb they actually very familiar with that carb they had put one on a 65 T Bird about a week before.. It is the Ice T Bird at turners dairy.. For there promotion of there Ice Tea which is really good ..  Anyway think I Am just gonna take the carb off and take it over to the guys tomorrow and go from there. Because I sure don't want to try to drive it back in the shape she is in.. Thanks Clint

You could always drop a known good carb on there and see how it runs. I didn't think people that far north drank iced tea? I thought that was a Southern thing. I had a friend once that lived up north and had never drank iced tea or heard of hush puppies. lol

Ok she is up and running!!!! :woohoo: I think I posted this Pic before but anyway... Still a couple of things. Changed the oil in it yesterday and only took out a half of A gallon of oil.. Now I am not sure but there should of been more than that.. Right??? So I got 6 quarts of new oil and filter to put on and in.. Put a !/2 or 3/4 of a quart in the filter and put it on. Then I started to add 3 more quarts plus what was left in the Oil filter quart..Now I am on a pretty level piece of ground and I pull the dipstick and it says full.... so WTF !!!! So I start her up and take a ride down to Advance A-P. Go in and ask the salesman about the oil for a 78 Lincoln he says to me with a jolly HA HA our records don't go back that far.. OK good night i say go out start the truck and my starter sticks on. **** so I run out and pull the neg terminal off. This is the second time this happened. I know it is the solenoid on the wall that is stuck but this is the 2nd solenoid I have put on the truck in the last week. The last one was doing the exact same thing. I tapped the solenoid on the top with a screwdriver, hooked everything back up and made my way home... Any Ideas?????? :hmm: :hmm: Randy

What manifold did you get? There is a EGR one and a non EGR manifold.

This is the non EGR manifold.

I think it only takes 6 qts of oil.

This one is the one with a EGR vale. But we more or less welded the hole shut.. They give you a metal gasket with the manifold , we welded the hole in it shut put it down first and put our spacer on it. It seems to work fine.
