Are the Frames Heat Treated?
Simple question, are the frames on our trucks heat treated?

I don't think so. Usually something that add expense is advertised as a benefit and I've never seen these style frames mentioned. Add in that I've drilled mine and the bits cut like butter so I'm sure it's not been done.

My assumption is that they are not but I just wanted to check. I will be putting the CV IFS and four link in the truck next weekend and need to address the part on the rear of the frame that is clearanced for the rear shocks. It appears the factory used some type of die to bend/push the bottom part of the frame for clearance. We were thinking about heating it and seeing if we could work it back but we have now decided to just use the plasma cutter and remove the affected area, make template and then weld in some 10 gauge plate back in.
