Well, in that case I'd just say screw the truck, grab the worms and go fishin!

I doubt I'll replace them unless they are truely worn out though.

During a full rebuild they get replaced mainly because the block gets hot tanked and that would not do the bearings any good. and a rebuild means replacing all bearings of course. lol
I wouldn't mess with them just during a cam change unless you knew there was a problem. I know some shops use a long bearing press like a long rod with a fitting on the end for different sizes. I DON"T know if the bearings are line hones in any way to make sure they are lined up right though. Bet somebody here does
