swapped on the 4V seup today

Post by 71 Ranger »

And it made a nice difference. Went from stock worn out 2V to S-code intake and 600ish cfm Edelbrock. I also threw a Pertronix ignitor in place of the points since the dizzy was out and convenient. Points were pretty fresh looking and dwell was spot-on, so not a lot of change there, but the truck pulls smoother and harder at all throttle positions. Next is headers and dual exhaust, then I'll start diverting funds to my 390 rebuild. However, I thought the other 360 owners out there would like to hear that the switch to a four barrel is well worth the effort.

Thats good to hear. I just did a similar swap myself with just the truck 4V intake and similar Edelbrock carb but havnt been able to get it running yet. I had to change the heads as well so I am hoping for a smoother more agressive throttle response.
