Poll Question - What oil do you use?

I was curious what oil people use in their FE's. Any recomendations?

The 390 in my '63 has about 100,000 miles on it, plus it was set up a taste on the loose side to begin with. I run straight 50W Valvoline Racing oil. Prolly go with 40W Valvoline VR1 in the 460 after it's broken in.

I've run strait 30 weight from the same drum I use in the tractors.

I break in with 15W-40 Rotella, then go to Amsoil Full Synthetic Race Oil with the high ZDDP levels after that. I run Wix filters during break in, and then go to the Amsoil filter. This is for my hopped up 390 in my 72. The mild 360 build in my 71gets the mid grade Amsoil and a Wix filter.

I run 15-40 Rotella in my 460. Broke it in with it and just kept using it.

I'm more along the lines with Bobby on this one.
The heat here thins oil like water, 50 W in my older engines for sure!
Straight 40 in the winter here, (as long as it's not like this past winter)!
