I have the car pan on my '69 with the 390. Takes forever to get the plug out and back in, real pain in the neck but other than that it works fine. I recently scored a truck pan and plan to change it out this summer.

A Truck and car pan are the same height. The sump is longer in a truck b y 1 quart.

I have scored 1 pan and now I need another I am going to fab two tanks into one so the drain part of the sump is moved back behind the crossmember. Looks like I will have 7 quarts in the pan and one in the filter.
