WHAT OIL WEIGHT????
What oil weight does everyone use in their fe engines. I have some lifter noise and I think its because I used 5w30. I haven't drove it in a wile and I shure thats all it is.

Re: WHAT OIL WEIGHT????
whatever is in mine is 13 years old... still clean and slick. But i don't run the engine very much right now.
I've got all the stuff for an oil change, Gonna go with Castrol GTX High Mileage. It's some good stuff.
I've got some stuck rings from setting so long, and a little bit of lifter noise. I'm hoping that the sweettastic new oil will solve a bit of the problems. I don't expect the stuck rings to resolve themselves, but ya never know......

Re: WHAT OIL WEIGHT????
15w-50 Mobil-1 and change it every 6000 miles. :)
50 weight oil is exempt from the reduced zinc and phosphorous
content, so, it's still got the right amount for non-rollers. :)

Re: WHAT OIL WEIGHT????
Almost impossible to buy 50 weight here in NM. Just not on the shelves except in the speed shops.
