352 to a 390

Hello,

I was wondering if I can swap out my 352 with my built 390 from my Fairlane? Will my 4 speed bolt up and take the extra HP? It dynoed at 385. I'm trying to get some miles on the motor while I finish the restore and have some fun this summer too!! Thanks for the Info.

the only thing you have to do is swap out the oil filter adapter from the 352 to the 390. the car oil filter adapter doesnt work well in our trucks. unless you use the shorter oil filters.

I have a Crown Vic front so I might have the clearance, I'll have to look at it.
So basicly I just need to change the flywheels and I'd be good to go?

Truck or car tranny will work in the truck and hold that horsepower with no problem. 385 hp is nothing to Ford drivetrains in the old days.
