You can run dual exhaust with an auxiliary tank. There was a thread not too long ago about that with pics, I just tried to find it, but no luck. But the bottom like is you have to either run the L/S exhaust outside the frame or both pipes down the passenger side.

Does your truck have a front sway bar? If not then you can run duals down one side or cross it over however you'll need to cross it over in a different spot other than stock because the header collector runs past the rear of the engine. You'll have to cross it over at the rear of the trans. You won't see the RPMs needed with a 360 to benifit with 3" duals. The 3 inch single will work but a 3 inch duals will kill low end power and that is all 360's have.

Stock 360? Don't bother with the headers. You won't notice any changes. I've been there, done that. If you want to run duals, do not run bigger than 2.5". For a 360, 2.25 will be enough. Your engine doesn't make enough power or RPMs to notice anything bigger.

It would help to know the exact configuration of the tanks, as mentioned there are a couple of varied configurations.

Keith used to have a picture of one with dual exhaust run outside the frame rails.

Here's one! I'm not sure if this is the one y'all are after though.

And here's one posted by Robert in dual exhaust down one side?

Sorry--I should have read this more carefully before posting those photos. I guess those photos show dual exhaust running inside the rails.

Unless you live in the ghetto, running it inside the rails is the way to go. I once had a truck with a dealer installed " saddle" tank and the P.O. installed duals with drivers side exhaust running under the tank (2"). I cut it off and ran a 2.5" single down the passenger side with manifolds. No change in mileage or performance.

Not a problem, the mufflers stacked with duals down one side is a pretty common solution to trucks with the single (or even dual on the same side) Auxiliary tank on the drivers side.

I think the truck Keith had the picture of had an inside the rail tank on both sides, the exhaust itself was quite a Kludge...

I agree even if you DO live in the ghetto, inside the rails is the way to go if possible...

The pics to the outside-the-frame exhaust on my '67 F250 parts truck can be seen here:
