remove the oil sender unit. i don't know where it is at on your engine. put the new sender tube and fitting on it. botl it to the dash run hot and ground to it . run the nihgt lite to the blue wire on the dash light circut. if you have a lighted cigar lighter. you can shove the wire in that connector for lights. if you dont have a lighted cigar lighter put a bullet connector on the light wire and plug it into that conector.

you mean to hook up the gauge lights to the headlight dimmer right? it is the wire i described already it is blue it has ports to the cigar lighter the heater light i think a secondary behind the instrument cluster. there may be one more. o rthe wires may be either blue or blue with a red stripe.

Ok so the one from the dimmer is blue, gotcha, do all cigarette lighters have a light in them? How many small bulbs would be safe to hook up, i got tach, water temp, and oil pressure.

Blue with a Red stripe wire 19 on the 69 diagram. It does not matter which diagram the wiring changed so rarely in our years.

The ground is not the screws. http://www.fordification.com/tech/wirin ... rpanel.jpg it is up on the column support behind the dash.

"E" botls down to the dash support brace with a screw. if the screw hole is worn out ptu a larger screw in it or make a new screw hole. if it is tight and clean make sure the brace is solid to the dash top and bottom. if not check the enigne ground strap from the firewall to engine it might be loose or dirty.

The gauges I buy use LEDs so load is never a problem. Standard 197 bulbs you could run 10 of them easy.
