Harmonic Balancer - 390
I'm in the process of replacing the timing gears in my 390 and I noticed when I removed the balancer that the rubber appears to be weathered. Since I have it off I'm thinking of replacing it. This is the not the original engine in my 4x4 (it came with a 360). Will the following balancer work?

I'm not sure since the description states from '73 to '76 and I'm not sure of the year of this motor.
Thanks,
Joe

Re: Harmonic Balancer - 390
It fits all FE engines except 428s or any engine using a factory 3.98 stroke crank. It can be used from 1958 to 1976, as long as the pulleys line up.

Summit also sells the Professional Products:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PFS-80009/
It is a little more but if you don't do E-Bay...
I agree it would be a better choice...

I wondered about this. Can I just remove the attached pully and replace it with my set up?DuckRyder wrote:Summit also sells the Professional Products:

If you blow the picture up you'll see the pulley has bolts around it so it comes off. Hawkrod had some hand in the design and has posted about it in the past.
