Weiand Stealth Intake Manifold Scratches!

Just got my new Intake Manifold for my 351w and the mounting surface has scratches on the surface from the factory! :pout: Is this going to affect my performance or fuel deivery at all? should i exchange the dang thing for another one? what do you guys think? thanks for the advice ahead of time!

i think i would ask for an exchange. but you might be able to use that and the gasket might seal it up fine. you may also be able to have to polished to get rid of the scratches. i would check out the exhchange deal first.

looks ok... you can block sand it, a little bit, with emory cloth if you like... just be sure it is clean afterward.

It will be fine imo . makes sure that the carb bolts on etc. before installing. I had one that was difficult to drop the carb on the studs. The bolt pattern was on the edge of being too wide. Somebody was running on the edge of tolerances that day. Yours looks like the chamfer/ deburr process went astray.

The gasket will seal that just fine.
