Dumb Question

Post by wildcard »

300 engine with split headers. Was under my truck and had just parked a few minutes earlier. Was looking at my shifter and decided to make sure my exhausts were tight since I occasionally hear a squeak underneath. When I grabbed the pipes , the passenger side was still HOT  and the drivers side was warm. Could that be a sign of some type problem or "just one of those things" ? :hmm:

My guess is that the pipes are run in such a way that you were actually checking one pipe about 2 feet further from the exhaust ports than the other.
