Out with the old!

Finally pulled the engine out of the 67! We found a few surprises,,,, The tranny crossmember was not bolted to the frame, It was bolted at the mount though, so I guess that's good enough The starter had a stack of washers on all three bolts that was four deep, but, I guess that would have worked too . I took the tranny to Milford for a rebuild tonight so with any luck, I should be driving soon!!!

The new engine is done,,,, Only real mods are Headers and a cast four barrel intake. The pretty black paint and stainless fasteners should get me an extra 50 or 60 hp though The errant hacking was my work. It will get new exhaust after I run open headers untill the neighbors call me in As for the grease, I've got 2300psi of pressurized water and a bunch of Simple Green that should make short work of that deal. If not,,,,, I've got a four year old that loves to help me clean stuff.
